Essential oils

My favorite

I’ve always adored essential oils. ANY thing: a cold, the terrible approach of acne, a scrape or cut… even a bad mood. There’s always an essential oil.

I started my journey with essential oils over seven years ago and have been a fan of natural healing and health capabilities ever since. They’re a beautiful necessity and also perfect for overall health, especially living in a cold climate and it seemed like colds and flus are more commonly passed around in those chilled winter months.

I love using essential oil because it helps me manage pain from my rheumatoid arthritis muscle soreness and aches, immune support, congestion, and the virtually endless list. Also balance hormones and enable my body with the nutrients and minerals it needs to function properly, to find natural, holistic alternatives that are not only safe, but effective.

Essential oils don’t just mask symptoms. They bring therapeutic change to the body at a cellular level, dealing with the root issue and supporting your system as a whole. Because of legalities, I can’t tell you that oils will “cure, treat or prevent” issues you may be facing, but I can give you testimonies about how oils have been life-changing. It creates a healthy home life for families in a modern way using ancient techniques.

If you’d like to know more about natural essential Oils – email me. We have to look out for each other, it’s a crazy world of chemicals out there! And as always, remember beauty is on the inside. When you can love yourself, it shines outward. Beauty starts in your heart and ends in the way you live.

Goals and (Gr)atitude

I have major guilt for not posting in a while – yes! I’m alive! No! I haven’t abandoned this sweet little blog, although I know it seems like it! I’m sorry! I’ve been crazy and super busy traveling and work. But I miss YOU ALL! You guys, life update… I’ve currently been in a whirlwind of opening orphanage plans, prep as well as working two jobs! Phew! I know so many of you can relate, take a deep breath! Starting this new year, I find myself scrutinizing every move I make. It’s a never ending cycle of rubbing against the sandpaper of my “goals”… But the real question is how do I keep our goals from turning into a land-mines of perfection that end up hurting me later?

There are a million things about our inner selves and outer selves that we can point out to change. Every year we make resolutions to lose weight, get healthy, cook more, sleep more. But then in-n-out starts calling your name. What if one of our goals this year was to find the really really really good things – the positive things, the things that set us apart – and focus on them. Like have some grace for yourself today. Just like I want to be the best at my job, you want to be the best wife or husband or daughter or friend ever, or you want to have the best grades and make every winning shot every game. There’s no way to accomplish every social media goal we see every day. But set mini goals for the day. Take heart in the fact you’re doing your very best. If we spend all of our time, beating ourselves up over things that have already happened – there’s no growth there. When you give every desire and trial to God, He gives you your place in the sun in his timing. He teaches you, He stretches you, He places you in ways we don’t have the capacity to do by ourselves. Keep your soul healthy by placing your stare on the strengths God has given you. My strength may not be your strength! But we can learn from each other, give to each other.

I know life can be overwhelming. My to-do list is currently two pages long. Sometimes I feel like I’m drowning in work with no time to play, but these are the moments when we have to shut the door, close our eyes and say I won’t be overwhelmed. Take life one step at a time and know there’s hope for you today. For your to-do list, for your homework, for your goals. Take a breath. And know you have a beautiful and inspired life – find the beauty and be thankful for it all!

So if you’re in an overwhelming season like I am, please first know you’re not alone, I’m with you there. And second remember that WE’RE not alone. Be THANKFUL today for every breath. We do stupid stuff all day long, and still God loves us more with every beat of our heart. Let gratitude override fear… Let joy override all. I promise you’ll conquer this week with joy!
