Happy August,
The middle of Summer season is when temperatures rise to its peak. August is when temperatures start soaring daily and lots of sunlight during the day, it’s even more important to stay hydrated.
Staying Hydrated To Deal With Summer Heat:
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drinking plenty of liquids like water so important during the heat of the summer. Your body is between 60% to 80% water so you’ll need to keep yourself hydrated at all times. The average person should take in about 9 to 13 cups of water a day or the popular saying “Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day.”
If you’re an active person, you will need to have a little bit more water. Keeping your body fueled with water has benefits like balancing body temperature, and regulating your metabolism.
Types of Liquid Beverages: what to drink If you feel the water is too blend in taste, adding lemon, lime or orange to your water will add a nice citrus flavor for a twist. For an even more fancy beverage, try coconut water, which not only tastes great, helps keep you cool and hydrated, it’s also known to be high in potassium. Be wary of drinking too much coffee and caffeinated drinks like tea. These don’t count as water because they are actually dehydrating your body. So if you are a heavy coffee drinker, make sure to also drink plenty of water fluids.
